The Most Intelligent and affordable way to buy a luxury mattress.

Buying online has so many advantages.

The Saatva pricing advantage...By selling exclusively online, we eliminate all the overhead of having stores, such as commercial rent, utility costs, store maintenance, insurance and excessive commissions. We are then able to offer our perfectly engineered 'coil on coil' ultra premium mattresses at half the price of mattresses you'll find in retail stores with similar construction. We hope that you find Saatva to be a pleasant alternative to the mass confusion and nonsense regularly associated with mattress shopping.

Think about it...we smartly and precisely offer our customers all the necessary information needed to make an intelligent purchase without "high pressure" or a "phony" sale. In turn, our customers truly appreciate this buying environment which creates an honest and friendly relationship between us. At Saatva, we embrace a creed of exceptional courteousness as in e-commerce, there is no face to face contact and we want to ensure that our customers enjoy their buying experience as well as our product. Additionally, because our return policy is so friendly, we have to exceed your expectations. At Saatva, we offer a 30 day home trial. If you're not happy, you have the option to return our bed and only be responsible for the original delivery charge. No penalty fees, no restocking fees. Simply a refund.

Our goal is to be your mattress source for life. We want our customers to feel that they have been delivered a product that far exceeds the price they had paid. We accomplish that every day at Saatva. All of our resources go into the quality of our product and the servicing of our customers.

Who We Are

We are based out of a beautiful coastal town, Westport, Connecticut. In addition to our corporate headquarters in Westport, we have additional offices in Austin, Texas, and Norfolk, VA which serve as the base for our marketing and Internet operations. We work in unison to provide you with the most pleasant customer service experience. Over the last several years we have grown from a mid-sized regional luxury mattress company to one of the largest online-only mattress companies in America, shipping coast to coast. Today, we have 6 factories thru-out America building our proprietary products and 16 fulfillment centers delivering. Additionally, we work with over 350 online reps to help bring our environmentally friendly Saatva brand to customers throughout the United States. Although we now do extensive online marketing and advertise in prominent print publications such as the New York Times, we are still guided by the fact that Saatva was built on recommendations and the sharing of information. We will always remain cognizant of that fact, rather than let growth and size dictate our principles in how we conduct business. This is the core reason we are the best reviewed mattress on Google in 2012, and of course, we will work diligently everyday to repeat this incredibly ethical feat for 2013.

Our executive team has extensive experience in e-commerce and retail, working in the past with companies such Facebook, Apple, Rosetta Stone, Men's Warehouse and Brookstone.

We have leveraged our experience to provide what we feel is an unparalleled customer experience at Saatva. Besides the importance of lengthy experience, we have a friendly, collaborative work environment, which we believe is the genesis for creating a kind, happy and productive organization.

It is our daily mantra to eliminate the traditional friction that is so common between retail stores and consumers by offering extreme courtesy coupled with clear and transparent policies....label us "consumer centric". Who are we? We are a group of forward thinking business people who will bend over backwards to deliver a fantastic product that will thrill you with your best night's sleep ever.

Our Team

Even if you're not a relative, we thought you might like to read a little bit about some key members of the Saatva team. We're hopeful that our collective effort leads to a wonderful buying experience for you, our valued customer.

    Life before Saatva...

I spent most of my life investing and managing businesses in the home furnishings industry. About 6 years ago, I started to marvel at the reach and efficiency that e-commerce offers. That became my target. Along with the help of the others mentioned in our group, we have built one of the largest online luxury mattress companies in the country.

Daughter Paige and wife Chiara. The most energetic people I have ever known or created. Also, a long swim in the ocean really recharges my batteries as well as a little fishing on the Saugatuck river in Westport pictured behind me.

    An unusual thing about me...

I like to wake up ridiculously early even when I don't have to. I enjoy the quiet and serene feeling of driving to get my paper and coffee when it's still dark out.

    Life before Saatva...

Was there life before Saatva? I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to be a part of such an amazing team of genuinely nice people here at Saatva. At Saatva, I've had the opportunity to channel my 15 years of creative agency experience and marketing/project management experience. Prior to this, I worked as Creative Director for MirrorNYC and as senior Art Director with the prestigious Suka Creative, creating award-winning collateral with a focus on nonprofit organizations. I have also worked as a Marketing Communications Consultant for a top Fortune-500 company and held posts at other prestigious design firms in New York. I'm a Cooper Union alumna, where my BFA studies focused on painting, color theory and composition—this helped lay the ground work for the ability to develop strong visual communications solutions.

    Funniest thing...

    Bridesmaids. A rolling-on-the-ground funny movie!

    What makes you tick...

Like Ron & Ricky I love the water. I surf and scuba dive. Being in the water makes me feel a part of the fabric of the universe and makes me feel free. My daughter inspires me everyday to always be a kid at heart.

    An unusual thing about me...

I am an avid hot yoga practitioner and follower of eastern philosophies. I don't go a day without making a gratitude list for all the wonderful things and people in my life. And I start each day off with a green-veggie-packed juice. I also dance in the grocery store when I shop (usually because my grocery stores play the best 70's disco). I like to keep life fun and fresh even when there is a mundane task at hand.

  • Alex Franklyn, Director of Customer Relations

    Life before Saatva...

I am a history buff by nature. In my previous life I was an American history teacher in New York City. I loved teaching and the satisfaction you get from challenging young minds. My Saatva life began in an unusual way...I was a customer at first! Believe it or not my original contact with Saatva was on my delivery day, they were running a few minutes late on my time window so I called and spoke to a rep. who handled the situation. When purchasing the mattress I was intrigued with their website and business model which seemed like a wave of the future. I had been considering a change from the education world so I decided to contact Ron Rudzin to inquire about the possibility of a job opening in the world of e-commerce. Long story short here I am today.

  • Kelly Hannifin, User Experience Specialist

    Life before Saatva...

I had been working in Advertising and Design in Austin, but I didn’t realize the best job in my industry would be working for the greatest mattress company out there! The Saatva team is amazing, tight-knit, and everyday at work is great. Plus it’s just incredible to see the company keep its culture as we’ve grown so fast.

    Funniest thing...

Well Kris stole my funniest thing, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s “Kitten Mittens” episode. But to top it, the funniest thing is that every time that episode comes on, my cat actually stands right in front of the TV and when Charlie says “Is YOUR cat making TOO MUCH noise” my cat tilts his head as to say, me?

    What makes you tick...

I love to be outside, playing Frisbee golf, swimming or taking my dog to the park. I’m originally from a small town in Texas, so I don’t shy away from great Tex-Mex. I absolutely love to run and discover new places while I am doing it.

    An unusual thing about me...

Although by working with me you would never know, but I generally enjoy really random comedies and once watched 4 Eddie Murphy movies in a row.

    Some favs...

I love to be anywhere with a view, I enjoy a challenging game of Putt-putt and I also love to wakeboard or be in and around water in general.
